He caved because he is about to get fired. No other reason. When TAM and UK and Texas joining in, it was over.
Lack of confidence is greater than that bravado and false voting posturing KNOWING athletes across the country were doing this to go to those other schools.

When a player wins a lawsuit this offseason claiming five years is an arbitrary number and that five year limit is hurting their earning potential and they are a fully enrolled student that should be able to play, should Sankey cave then?
By this theory should Sankey just cave on everything?
This argument doesn’t even make sense.

What about a 6th year with a faux sore throat that THE SEC WAS AGAINST AS WELL AS THE NCAA.
That opened the flood gates on top of the NCAA saying those players were entitled to play.
Hell, the ND DE didn’t sign a pro contract or participate in any of it and he was specifically. Banned by Sankey.
Ole MIss, UK, TAMU have ex players from the GLeague they signed. Stop throwing stones.
All pro contracts from softball to euro league SHOULD BE BANNED IN MY OPINION.

LSU didn’t defy anything yet as they didn’t sign any players. Chambliss was done and he got an injunction against the SEC and NCAA to allow him to play. Isn’t that how it happened?
That opened the door for the same type of issue regarding the NCAA allowing 5 seasons. When they didn’t they excluded 200 or more athletes of that privilege.
Collusion and anti trust then the bravado and posturing knowing other athletes were going to do that in texas and all these other states.
I don’t understand why he thought he would be able to fend it off.
Maybe he did it because the Big 10 played chicken with him and he thought he was equal. Either way, he arse was about to get voted out so he caved.

I believe the SEC is actively trying to get in court. May see something this week. I don't believe the SEC is cowering.

The TRO is only valid for 2 weeks. It expires before LSU kicks off against Clemson. There is a hearing this Thursday in Baton Rouge. The SEC has scheduled a meeting afterwards. At that meeting Sankey and the other 15 SEC members will decide how to proceed based upon the hearing and how LSU is posturing.
LSU fans who are celebrating their huge win this weekend are likely to be very, very disappointed. But that is part of their tradition.
