Hold up, he’s on court record saying this and LSU fans are the ones misconstruing things? Regardless if he knew it or not, it was a bullshite answer.

No. He was absolutely never asked if he'd read the rule. Reading about a rule and reading the "specific text" in a legal physical document that wasn't printed a couple weeks earlier is 100% different.

He has an attorney who's supposed to prep him when he's been subpoenaed to give live testimony. Either Sankey was woefully unprepared or his attorney was or both. No, that's not his day-to-day responsibility, but when you're going to get asked questions about a specific bylaw that is the entire controversy of a case, yes you should be able to testify about it. He filed a federal lawsuit over it that same day FFS
He wasn't asked to recite the entire NCAA handbook. He was asked about the specific bylaw that is the entire controversy of the case. Any sensible human being would have, at minimum, been reading the text on his private jet on the way to the hearing.

The whole reason this got started is because the SEC tried to insert itself into banning professionals.
They have to be able to define what they're banning.

He is literally suing a conference member on behalf of his conference.
Not the NCAA.
The conference.
He made it clear they have their own rules.
