Texas got lucky with the schedule. Everyone knew that when it came out.

Why not adjust if for next year since it was so easy? Sankey did it on purpose.

They will make up some new excuse.
But, but....Texas only played one away night game.
But, but....Texas was helped by the refs.
But, but....Texas is favored by the media.
All I know is it is a blast to be playing for the SEC title in year one.
Even more fun will be had in the playoffs.
Meanwhile some of y'all are waiting to see which Tampax Bowl you get.
This is college football people!!!!!!

No, you’re just supposed to play the games in front of you. If SEC is really tougher and it “just means more” then winning the conference should be a big deal any year. Or maybe that’s all BS
But schedules are made 3-4 years in advance, and only an idiot would look at Texas’s schedule of Michigan, Oklahoma (rival), Florida, Georgia, Arkansas (rival on road), and A&M (rival on road), and say it was weak. Not our problem that 3 years later half of them suck.
The issue that you lost to the ranked team you played. And the only team expected to be really tough on that schedule is really Georgia. Michigan is a good OOC game regardless, nobody is going to fault you on it, but it's also not an indicator that you can beat top teams.
If you win tomorrow, then you can say you've beaten a top10 team and that will be the end of it. Otherwise, you'll be a team getting into the playoffs despite not having a single ranked win.

"You're over in that bitchass Big12 and you simply do not understand what you're in for. This is the ESS. EEE. SEE. You ain't ready! There are no off weeks! You're walking into a buzz saw and you are NOT prepared! Watching you Horns get slaughtered week in week out is gonna be glorious!"
Then we start actually playing games and look how the music changes! These clowns really make me laugh!

There is no "issue". Stop making up crap just to cope that Texas is in the SECCG. If it were so easy then why didn't Bama beat Vandy and Oklahoma?
Why didn't LSU beat Texas A&M and Florida?
Why didn't Ole Miss beat Kentucky and Florida?

Are all SEC colleges required to take whiney classes at College Station, sure seems so.

These gumps lose to a Vandy and get blown out by OU and theyre talking lol

This!
This sentiment was posted over and over prior to this season.
Either the SEC is overrated af or Texas is really good.

Because they were so dominant in the big 12? 4 big 12 titles in 27 years isn’t a big deal.

It's no mystery the best team doesn't always win.
What would you say is the best win Texas has this year?
Posted on 12/6/24 at 5:46 pm to 3down10
I don't know but we beat two teams that kicked your arse.
Posted on 12/6/24 at 5:46 pm to collegefootballisbroken
Take over implies successive seasons of dominance. They have a chance to be a 1-loss conference champ. That is a great achievement for anybody in the SEC, but it doesn’t mean they’ve taken over. Calm down.

Ole Miss, Bama, Tennessee are not the best teams. But you are not wrong when it does happen.
This Texas team would beat both last year's Bama w/ Saban and this year's Bama.

Aren't those basically 2 of your 3 best wins on the season?

Texas' easy in-conference schedules aren't happenstance.
