Hmm...

From 1942 to 1980 was 38 years.

From 1980 to 2021 was 41 years.

I sense a pattern. Gonna be a long four decades, Dawgs, so enjoy this one while you can.

The difference between the last 4 decades and the next 4 decades is that UGA is the only team in the SEC East with a pulse for the foreseeable future. Long gone are the days of teams like UT and Florida making runs at the title.

Shh, you're scaring away all the fish!

In all seriousness, while of course I don't actually expect UGA to go on another forty-year drought, I do think Florida is going to be competitive again sooner rather than later. Tennessee, on the other hand...

Not with Kirby at the helm, I think we will get 2 more by 2030, not Saban like (he is definitely the GOAT), but damn good and easily better than going 41 years between Natties.

Yea because the West has been LOADED the last 2 years.

How bout next year? LSU and Auburn are dumpster fires,OM lost Corral,A&M didn't even finish in the top 25,Arky losing a shite load and who knows with MSU.

Fact:SECW has been a cakewalk for Bama 3 outta the last 4 years.

I agree, however I'll be interested to see how the portal and NIL potentially help level the playing field and make it harder for us than it would have been without them. It's indisputable that Kirby is one of the best recruiting HC's in the nation, which provides a huge advantage relative to other programs. Top tier programs now have other tools at their disposal to fill gaps which can help mask recruiting talent deficiencies. It will be a very interesting next few years.

Not that hard to understand. Also, you never said:

at least not in this thread, other than to mis-quote yourself.

Yeah, and what does that have to do with Alabama, and what does that have to do with me defending UGA from the “next 4 decades” comment?

I’ve said it over and over in not only other threads - but pretty clearly stated my case in the post the few of you are so bizarrely offended over.

I can edit it and just agree with the dude if you’d rather.

“Enjoy not winning another championship for the next 40 years!!!1!”

Have it your way, I guess.

The pattern that I sense is that 1942 and 1980 are BOTH more recent than 1939.

Dude, you are a terrible poster, and probably more terrible at life.

Auburn-2010, definitely not getting another Natty with harsin as coach, might not even beat UGA the rest of this decade, lulz

Bad troll job.

You are gonna be disappointed. B/c like I've said in a couple of other threads, the Dawgs are going to win 3 of the next 6 natties(counting this one).

The lid is off.

See I'm thinking 3 in the next 6(counting this one) so that will be 3 by 2026
