Man the media is really setting up Miss State for a let down. They have to travel to LSU and Bama. Both really tough games. Also Auburn and A&M are toss ups. Just like LSU fans should temper expectations. The schedule is brutal.

We have the best schedule in the West along with Bama. We avoid Georgia in the East.

He knows as much about it as redfishfan knows about assessing defensive football talent.

So we'll be brought down to a typical Miss State season??? Hey bud can you name me the last time LSU won less than 8 games? That would be 1999.

Precisely. I really don’t care about anything other than this year. And y’all will finish 5th in the West.

Lets talk defensive talent then bud. Fehoko and Lawrence are future NFL players on the DL. We have much better depth than last years team who finished in the top 12 in total D after a disastrous start with injuries and suspensions. ILB is loaded. Devin White is the best LB in the SEC and might be the best in the country. Phillips was the #1 MLB in the country coming out of HS and has lived up to the hype thus far at the other inside backer spot. We lost Chaisson to injury at the Boundary OLB spot but he's a future 1-2 round pick. Andre Anthony and Ray Thorton who are physical freaks move into that spot. Michael Divinity and Jacoby Stevens will be holding down the F Backer spot and they are both future NFL players IMO. Greedy Williams at CB is possibly the best CB in the nation. Opposite of him Fulton and Joseph are stud athletes that have unlimited potential but are young and inexperienced. Grant Delpit at safety is the next Jamal Adams. Future 1st rounder. John Battle is a 5th year senior and a team leader who is always where he is supposed to be. Also scary deep at Safety. We moved a 5 star athlete in Stevens down to F backer from Safety to get him on the field more.

I love Devin White and Greedy Williams. Battle is good. But you need to take the purple and gold glasses off. Auburn, State, and Georgia have a defense every bit as good or better as you have. You don't have a DL that would start at State or Auburn, probably.

Lol Battle might be our least athletic starter on D. Lawrence would start on any DL in the SEC or in the country. Alabama O lineman last year said Lawrence was the best player he ever played against and Lawrence was playing on two sprained ankles. Auburn has a great D. Miss State's DL is great. Simmons is a stud but your secondary and LBs aren't on the same planet as LSUs.

SEC is definitely the best conference in the country.

What other conference can go 58-54 against itself in conferece play?

It just means more!

Our corners aren't as good as yours. I acknowledge this. We are exceptionally good at safety, despite what you think. We don't have a White but we have very good LBs. LSU tried to buy at least one of them. You probably have better depth there.

My point is not to demean LSU's defense. It's to make sure you understand that there are others in this league just as good.

Does this include Leo Lewis? The guy that LSU recruited, but had to settle elsewhere?

LB core as a whole isn't on the same planet.

I haven't said otherwise. My point was State ain't walking into Tiger Stadium and getting some easy win against this defense. They may win but I've been watching the SEC a LONG time. Not many teams walk into big time stadiums against big time defenses and get W's.

Nah, you've been watching LSU a long time. You clearly know nothing about what some other teams have, other than what you've read.

I never said State would walk in there and get an easy win. I did say State should win, and will likely be favored in that game. I realize that's a difficult thing for an LSU fan like you to accept, but that's where we are right now. Next year may be a different story.

Devin White is better than Leo Lewis pretty easily dude. He's bigger and faster and more productive.

Jacob Phillips was #1 ILB in his class and projected top 5 backer in his class to the NFL. Thompson is a good player for yall but he's not the athlete Phillips is.

I didn't say he wasn't. You really suck at this.
