S&P+ Rankings Projects Week 2 - SB Nation

SEC East
1. Georgia (11-1) (7-1)
2. Missouri (8-4) (5-3)
2. Vanderbilt (8-4) (5-3)
4. Kentucky (7-5) (4-4)
5. South Carolina (6-6) (3-5)
6. Florida (6-6) (2-6)
6. Tennessee (5-7) (2-6)

SEC West
1. Alabama (11-1) (7-1)
2. Mississippi State (10-2) (6-2)
3. Auburn (8-4) (4-4)
3. LSU (8-4) (4-4)
3. Texas A&M (7-5) (4-4)
6. Ole Miss (7-5) (3-5)
7. Arkansas (4-8) (2-6)
quote:

Changes at the top? Nope. Alabama could slip up once in SEC games and still be comfortable, and UGA could maybe slip up twice.

Biggest mover (good): Vanderbilt simply handled business against MTSU and Nevada. Look the part early, and you’ll move up. The Dores looked the part last year, and then had their souls destroyed by Bama, but Bama isn’t on the schedule this year.

Biggest mover (bad): Arkansas fell asleep and blew a double-digit lead against an otherwise bad Colorado State. The Hogs now have to score an upset or two in SEC play to get back on the right side of bowl projections. That’s possible if the defense comes around a hair.

Who’s falling back to earth? Vanderbilt. I mean, it has to be the Dores, right? They’ve risen a little too far for beating teams in the lower half of Conference USA and the Mountain West.

Man the media is really setting up Miss State for a let down. They have to travel to LSU and Bama. Both really tough games. Also Auburn and A&M are toss ups. Just like LSU fans should temper expectations. The schedule is brutal.

A&M already lost OOC so doesnt make sense, and you think they only lose 1 more game the rest of the season?

You severely overrate LSU right now. You have a valid point with Bama.

Tennessee and Arkansas aren't winning 2 conference games each.

Please explain anything in my post that severely overrated LSU. I only stated State has to travel to Tiger Stadium. Said zero else about the team but I will say this, if you think State walks into Tiger Stadium and gets an easy win you’re delusional. LSU D is for real. If State gets the win it’s likeky by less than 6 points.

Your defense is good, but State sees a better defense in practice every day. It won't be easy, but State will be favored in that game and should win it.

Lol LSUs defense is loaded this year. You have a good team this year but nobody else besides your fan base thinks you walk into Tiger Stadium and get a W. The only team that’s consistently done that this century is Bama. You aren’t Bama.

I think it says Vanderbilt (+3.2), Arkansas (-2.1) and Kentucky (+1.8) moved the most in overall wins.

Well, you’re wrong. Quite a bit outside our fanbases can see it. But that’s ok, y’all will be brought back down to your 7-5 expectation soon.

So we'll be brought down to a typical Miss State season??? Hey bud can you name me the last time LSU won less than 8 games? That would be 1999. Miss State has had 10 seasons with less than 8 wins since 99. Stay in your lane State. Your team is nothing more than expectations that won't mean anything come November.
