It must be so liberating to know you can suck arse completely and they have to pay you $10 million+ to clean out your desk drawers.

I'm not underestimating anything. He has supporters. But he also has people who hate his guts. They could go that route. But they would be better served going after someone who has proven themselves capable of winning titles who everyone will get behind. Not someone who will keep the fanbase (and the money men) divided.

Here's to hoping we can add some more Arkansas players to our roster before finishing this SEC schedule.
Luke Hasz and Kutas have worked out so well.

Kutas has come along just fine. Missing most of fall camp set him back but he's.played well the past two games.

Sam Pittman credit. He took over a god awful football team, won some SEC games, couple bowl games. He fell short of a 11 win season in 2021. Literally a 2 point conversion vs Ole Miss and late drive vs BAMA. He did an admirable job.
I’d take the year off and go to the beach. He’ll land a job somewhere when he’s ready.
I thought he said this is his last job? I could be wrong.

Pittman will be unemployed for about 5 minutes.
I wish Josh would bring him in as a "consultant" for our O-line.

He's openly said many times that he's retiring after the Arkansas job

I highly doubt they rehire Petrino as the next HC.
Gonna be hard not to IF he shows marked improvement and ends the season respectably. If that happens and they still go another direction, it better be one hell of a splash hire.

but from what I understand, Petrino didn't really have unanimous support
That can be said about most coaches. He may not have the backing of ALL the big money folks, but he's got a lot more than Sam did and winning brings more support.

Just please don't take any of our defensive players.

You need Gruden......Would be a splash hire.

He wasn't a swell guy either. Might have changed since he has been humbled.

My opinion on the matter is this..
If we don't have a HIGH level coach willing to take the job at the end of the season, give Petrino the job and inject everything into NIL. People, including some big money boosters, will be more than happy to spend A LOT.
