Saban's process mantra prevents questioning his coaching

He flips the script and makes it seem like any loss is the players fault for not following/focusing on the process. Had they only followed the process, they would have won. Nevermind his gameplan and coaching were questionable and contributed to the loss.
1. Abandoning a successful run offense so McCarron can make a push for Heisman
2. Your calling card defense being shredded for 400+ yards in consecutive games
3. Refusing to follow the defensive blueprint Florida and LSU gave to you to contain JFF. Refusing to adjust until 20pts are on the board.
4. Refusing to follow the offensive blueprint to beat A&M. Pound the ball, milk the clock and keep it away from JFF.
He might want look at his own proces and gameplanning.

I know LSU fans have a Saban complex, but he seemed to take the blame for the loss in his press conference, imo.

So we can expect this post to disappear and the black helicopters will come and spirit you away to the gulag of the Dark One?

In all seriousness, Bama's D is built different. They are very good, but not as quick as LSU/Fla. I think Oregon would put 40 on Bama this year.
No flame or dis on Bama.

Not sure how anyone can see it differently

I hadn't thought of that but I find it difficult to believe.

I think UA realizes their coverage isn't upper echelon.

He tried pressure rather than soft coverage and containing the QB. To be fair JFF threw the long ball better than he had, imo.

This I found very odd. They could have ran on A&M I think, not sure why this wasn't tried more.

Every coach has a bad day. We should know

This.
But, I do believe Bama would have won if they would have kept the ball on the ground

In the post game interview I saw, Saban took responsibility for the loss saying that he did not have his team well prepared. But I do agree with some of your points in that McCarron was throwing the ball way too much especially in the red-zone where the defense is contracted. With an OL like Bama has, there's no reason to be throwing risky passes in the red-zone.

Fewer JFF possessions and probably more points for UA...could well be.

Got down 20-0. Pass pass pass.

He blamed himself, said he took full responsibility for the loss. Your first sentence is utter bullshite.

True but there was plenty time and the gap did get closed. I don't know. Saban&co. know a lot more than me. But with Yeldon and Lacy and that OL...run it, imo.

Honestly, Nuss out-thinks himself sometimes.

Sometimes just lining up, running off tackle, and pasting someone suffices. Plus that's less time for JFF to do whatever the hell he was doing out there. Looked like a pinball sometimes.

I agree especially on the final series. We are Alabama. Since when are we not able to get 6 yards on 4 plays by running it down their throats?

Well UA still has ATL in their control. It'll be interesting. CMR has seen the tape and I'd suspect 60-65% passing. Ought to be a pretty good game.
(Course I'm still pulling for the IB shocker
