At Alabama you call the shits...if you win. If you lose you sucknOaul Bryant jr.'s dick until you get fired. PBJ is a fricking cancer on that school as well as the state of Alabama. The guy is a piece of shite!

Bama has always been a better job than Texas for a top coach wanting to win championships.

shite aTm is becoming a better job than Texas, and in fact I will go on record saying it is already.

In this country there is a phrase for almost taking the Texas job. It's called "not taking the Texas job."

No shite. Almost doing something is exactly the same thing as not doing it.

Duh... Alabama was the exact same way when Saban got there. After a few winning seasons and a natty... Saban took control from the boosters. Nice story about Texas... but that's all it is. A nice story.

There's lots of banter on this board about the supposed decline of certain SEC programs. None are in decline but I guess it's fun for rivals to throw that possibility at each other.

For Texas, though, it's a reality. That program is in deep trouble. The Longhorns have made their bed and are discovering that it is very uncomfortable. They can spend as many millions of dollars as they want but it's just fancier lipstick for that pig of a program.

I think we're seeing the fruits of their arrogant efforts beginning to settle in. I mean, getting the holy shite beaten out of them by a 6-6 Arky has to be a new low.

It'll be interesting to follow them this year. I'm going to predict a losing record for Texas with some awful scores against them.

Ugh, I realize you are spell checking the OP but, you have it wrong. Artical is spelled article, just as he has it. Just thought I would try to help out.

There's an article about this new book released detailing how Nick Saban would have left Alabama for Texas

I'll summarize the article, which is the same article they recently ran in the NYT.

Someone somebody knows who has a very reliable source told someone else that Saban was very interested in the Texas job.

After a while, someone else closely connected to the powers that be at Texas heard that Mack Brown was quitting so they went to talk to him about quitting, he wouldn't quit.

Then, another source related to an actual Longhorn source contacted Saban's agent's source who then contacted Saban's agent.

After months of toying with Texans, Saban's agent told them to frick off and die after they told him they were willing to talk to him but only if Saban were REALLY interested in coming to Texas.

Saban got a shite-ton raise, gave his agent a bonus for his good work, and Texas is still losing games and searching for a replacement for their savior, the best coach they ever had or ever will have, Macko Brown.

The End.
