Shula actually recruited well. People forget one of the reasons TT almost got fired was because Shula kept grabbing all the top talent despite the NCAA sanctions.

Are we beginning to see what things will be like with his own talent in place?
if you truly believed this, you wouldn't be starting threads to try to prove how "bad off" Saban's recruiting and players are. you'd laugh and not care about us lol.
instead, you started a thread completely laced with your own insecurities. you hope saban leaves here, you wish y'all still had him... but the last probable scenario is that YOU really think Saban's talent is inferior to Shula's.
lol. what a sad, sad type of fan you are :)

Wrong. Shula had one top 10 class in his final year and Tuberville out-recruited Shula every year he was here.

this is the stupidest statement anyone can make about any coach and players. those are "Alabama's" players, not Shula's, not Saban's, ALABAMA'S

The only coach I can think of right off the top of my head, and I got a headache, recently that can fall into the category of winning with someone else's players is Larry Coker winning it all one year after Butch Davis left...

Shula recruited well? We counted 5 star recruits two and three years in a row after resigning them. Look at the stretch of LB and DL recruits in 2005 and 2006. Hell we counted a running back, Mike Ford two years and he never saw the field. He lucked out on Arenas.
You need to do some research on this subject.

no I don't. I'm going back to 02 or 03. Top dozen players in bama one year, Bama got them all, TT caught ALOT of hell for that.

HAHA this is such a huge fail. Shula's first recruiting class was the 04 class.

Yep, Bama fans only hear what they say at the moment. Never do they remember what they've said.
Sticky please!

Where did many of the players come from that you won with last year then...not much research should be needed for that

You could throw Houston Nutt in as well, Best years were with Danny Ford's players and Oregerons.
