Saban is always prepared with an excuse.

Whether it's injuries or shooting ranges when his players are arrested with stolen guns, he always has an excuse.

And you'd take him back at LSU in a nano second. Sabans doing just fine, at a REAL football blueblood unlike LSU where he squealed his tires getting out of baton rouge.
I'm gonna trust what he does. I'm also gonna say uga was just better. What I'm not gonna do is muh, Oklahoma state, not fair, plane crash, didn't win their conference, fg was good, but, but, waaaa.

That's how losers act.

No, I wouldn't.

Saban lost to Ed Orgeron, at home, in front of a sitting US President

That was in the same calendar year that Saban got blown out by Clemson, by 4 TDs

Yes, I know you're thankful that Daddy LSU could clean up that mess for you.

Great post

Agree, it’s up to the players to be ready when their name is called. I think the transfer portal helps with this being more of an issue now than in years past. Instead of staying focused and working harder, they are looking for greener grass.

unable to give the same number of reps to the backups

Good post.

But, I also think Saban's point was there were a handful of players that didn't get more reps because of their attitudes during the season. When injuries and moments gave them the opportunity, they didn't play to the levels of their egos because they didn't put the work in during the season to be ready for the moment.

Say what you want, but managing egos and uber-talented rosters is only going to get more difficult.

Over the years, that is where Saban has really set himself apart with all of the talent he brings in year after year.

A 2-3 year span of greatness with a couple great classes is one thing. Sustaining that success much beyond that is another.

Billingsley is one. My guess Hall is the other. No idea who the third is.

"I'm a petulant child that subtweets like a 13 year old girl"

Keep in mind that this dude's career peak until the NCG was a circus catch in a Spring Game. He cryptically whined all year on twitter about playing time. He gets his shot in the National Championship and drops 2 touchdown passes

Nick reminds me of that old guy in the cartoon shouting at the clouds. As he ages he is getting less and less tolerant. He has never had much patience but the pressers where he berates the media are telling. His ego won’t allow him to accept blame so he throws his players under the bus. He praises the schools that beat Bama but offers up excuses. Lots of them. Everyone can see that he is slipping. He knows its happening but is trying hard to deny it. He is aging - like all of us will. He is not as sharp and energetic as he used to be and is frustrated that his former assistants are passing him and his program by so he lashes out. Just like the old guy yelling at the clouds or screaming “get off my lawn”

Not sure if you are watching, but he has seemed as happy go lucky as he has ever been these past two seasons

Some Bama fans are bitching he's gone soft

Georgia wins one title in 40 years and their fans think they know more that GOAT Saban. Nouveau riche idiots.
