You act as if these kids are being kicked to the curb, with no concern for their well being. The actuality is they are leaving for more playing time, in Preyear's case. When was he going to see PT in a seven deep RB rotation? Ivan Matchett has medical conditions that won't allow him to play any more, but he'll remain on scholarship, getting his degree. Evan Cardwell and Charlie Kirschman had already gotten their degrees. Alonzo Lawrence was homesick, and had fallen down the depth chart. Brandon Fanney had been suspended, and in the doghouse for some time. Plus, he was a senior that had lost him starting spot.

Sure, we need the room, but its not like we randomly choose guys not in the two deep, and tell them to hit the road. I don't want to see these guys go. They're Alabama football players, and have given a lot to be in Tuscaloosa, but things don't always work out. I also want to see this program continue to get better, and its well documented that a number of Shula's players were not cutting it in all aspects of the program. It ain't just about talent, and the ability to perform on the field. There are plenty of other parts to remaining on a Nick Saban coached team.

not really. That is what it is about. Saban may in fact be a little weasel, no doubt about that, but it is about winning, and that is what he brings. It would be nice to have integrity, but not at the cost of winning. Those days are long gone, unfortunately. This isn't even going to get a mention on ESPN or anywhere else, other than a few people grumbling on a message board.

I'm talking about kids not holding up academically, and failing to meet expectations that are a requirement of their athletic scholarship. It works the same way with an academic scholarship. If you fail to pass your classes, or stay in trouble, you're not going to be around long.

Kind of hurt his credibility using a Dan Le Batard article. Le Batard is a joke

Saban is paid to win games period. Same as Petrino, Meyers, Miles,

Is that true? There is no accountability for academics at any of those schools?

Your arguments here, are about as shitty as on the political board. Having nothing to back up your ideas or statements, you ask questions to questions. There really should be some kind of filter to prevent poli board regs from entering other boards.

Your words:

You posed the question....I merely wanted clarification as to what team you think is my "beloved".

In 5,900+ posts I've made, find ONE where I've expressed a preference for a team.
You made the assertion, now back it up.
