There's a difference between the two situations - LSU and Florida have been more successful over the last decade than Auburn or UGA (though both AU and UGA) have had great decades) and that game has kept LSU out of the title game more than once (not so sure about Florida, though I wouldn't doubt it.)
As far as I know the AU-UGA game loser hasn't been kept out of the NCG because of a loss in their rivalry.

Well even if you don't play Florida, LSU can't beat bama. Then yal will want to move to the easy because you can't get past Saban. Try winning something that matters, it's been since 2007, and even then you lost 2 games

uf vs lsu as a "rivalry" was created when ucsjr. and ark came in the league. it has no sentimental or emotional value to the fans
Actually, Uf had Au as their main west rival but LsU was added as the 2nd permanent for them to balance the competition out. When they dropped to only 1 permanent AU and UGA decided that game would stay leaving UF vs LSU as the 3rd big 6 cross division rival game.

Let's go back to 10 teams--no damn divisions and round robin.

correct but it is not a historic rivalry like ut vs bama or uga vs au. it was created for scheduling purposes.
if we are going to have a 14 team conference i'd like to get a chance to actually see some of the other teams instead getting to play some folks once every 10 years.

They also divided the divisions accordingly so that rivals were in their own division
Actually they did a straight east/west split this time. A few of their less notable trophy games like the Lillibuck game will no longer be a yearly game (but they basically made a trophy game out of most of their games).

1 post from 1 person don't represent an entire fanbases thoughts on the matter, jackass.
I for one love playing Florida. I just think the TSIO has no weight behind it anymore and i'd like to see some other games played.
You sound stupid though

LSU fans just want an easy soft schedule. Hell they'd probably schedule , Vandy, UK, Mizzo, MSST, ARK, USC , OLE MISS
That looks like a Bama schedule.

Was just about to say that
Replace Vandy with LSU and I think it's their exact schedule

We won in 2011. Remember, your bitch coach cried for sympathy and begged to get your team in the big game.

I'm sure our coaches are against it but personally I would be for it. It means that you would have to win 3 conference games to get to a bowl but I think bowls are too easy to get to anyway.

bama fans here still don't get it, or else all they can do now is troll as opposed to offering real comments. LSU is not afraid of the gators. The record over the past decade shows that it's pretty equal. The bitch is that bama has an easier schedule to fight thru to get to the SEC championship game, i.e. the NCG. And they get that advantage because...... (fill in the blanks ).
