Auburn has won a lot of games, but hasn't "beat down" Alabama in decades.

If you wanna see beat downs look at 2008, 2011, and 2012.

I actually wouldn't be surprised. The guy has worked his butt off and is in his 60s. He doesn't have much more left to accomplish.

What does Mike Krzyzewski have left to accomplish?

2005 was a beatdown... to anyone who was there to witnessed it, anyway (most bama fans were gone by halftime)

My only point is that he may not want to coach that much longer. I don't have any particular feeling that he's going to hang it up, but to act like there's no way is foolish.

The same is true for Coach K. He could retire after this season, and it wouldn't be that surprising.

ETA- I don't see Saban as the Bowden type who's going to hang around forever. When he loses the ability to fully dedicate himself by his own standards, he'll retire, IMO.

CNS has so many options it is uncanny. I fully expect his next move will be in some form of political office when he makes the call.

He is running the show and only a few people come to mind in recent history who can say as much.

Well that is my point too. Not sure why Saban is the only coach who can't accomplish more. Of course he can accomplish more. He could win more national championships than any coach ever or maybe he just enjoys doing it. I get that everyone is sick of Bama winning and hoping his leaving will change that but wanting something doesn't mean it has to come true

I'm hearing Manziel is willing to sit out next season so he can play two years for Saban.

This thread is loud. All these jokes whizzing over Barners' heads. I can't hear a thing.
