Why is Saban in quotation marks? Did someone pretending to be Saban say that?

Saban does use press conferences to state and reinforce messages to his players -- to combat clutter, complacency and overconfidence, to keep them focused on respecting opponents, improving and playing to a high standard.
And in doing so, his remarks about various opponents are usually pretty reasonable. LSU, the way they have responded and played since their two losses, is a very dangerous opponent. Auburn had a 20 point lead and couldn't beat them.
LSU has excellent talent, a great DC and a pretty dang good OC. LSU has confidence now and will be fired up as hell for this game.

I meant they haven’t played anyone really good
