Anyone posting the bullshite about fans wanting Shealy to play more over Rutledge are the ones who need to start "rethinking." Some of us were actually on campus back then, sonny.

Its ok...you can admit it. The only thing you know about that era is stuff you've read or bullshite you've heard from other fans.

Tennessee had integrated for several years before Bama did. I think they would not have been allowed to play UCLA in the mid 60's with an all white team

The first black player enrolled at UT in 1967. So again, you're just making up bullshite out of thin air.

Yeah...except that he didn't.

Go ahead. Name them.

Seriously...why do you insist on continuing to post bullshite that isn't true, when many of us here actually watched those games?

Very odd.

That's because he'd just another dumbass kid who feels the need to just make shite up.

Najee was unimpressive a lot of the year. I actually was fine with how much he played. I wish we had given about half of Bo's carries to D Harris.

Agreed. I was more impressed with Brian Robinson during the season. I'm not sure that he still won't be the better option next year.

Ah yes...the drive by downvote instead of factual rebuttal.

Still waiting for those 8 consecutive bowl losses.

Some of us actually threw stuff at the TV when the Kansas Cowboy missed that FG.

Robinson is going to be a beast. Probably one of the fastest of the backs, if not the fastest. Great vision as well and can catch the ball. 6'1" 230.

Agree totally. Bama plays like a pro team. If you can beat a team with your all around talent, use a game manager or less turnover prone QB and that was Hurts. Tua is more flash but why throw the ball over the field if you can grind your opponent down with the running game.

1967 was several years before Bryant did. Sorry.

Name the Bowl game Bear won between 1968 and 1975. I will be waiting because there is not a single victory during that stretch.

Well yeah. As a Georgia fan, I suppose you would have preferred Alabama keep playing Hurts.

There was a tie, dipshit. You said he lost 8 in a row, dumbass.

And 3 years isn't "several".

You literally have shite for brains. How about learning to at least use Google?

Practically all the bullshite you have posted is 100% false.

I'm guessing you have no clue who the Kansas Cowboy was and the missed FG I'm referring to.

Sorry 0-7-1 with a tie to Oklahoma. So statement is correct. 8 years without a Bowl win.

Also Bear ducked the Big winner in 1972 to play Texas because he didn't want to face the higher rated Big 8 team. That is why Bama went to the Cotton Bowl instead of the Sugar Bowl. Sorry again.

He certainly did not. Against even mediocre defenses he was good for about 100 yards through the air. We won the majority of our games in spite of him and the stats prove it so don't make me dig them because I can. He was brutally terrible against good defenses. Saban stuck with him way too long.

Kansas Cowboy...

I think you have no clue. Also I did not down vote you. I do not down vote Bama fans unless they obviously deserve by ripping on players.

Now you're just being a fricking liar. You said he lost 8 in a row, because you didn't know any better. You had to go back and Google. You said that probably because you're just some dumbass troll who isn't even a Bama fan. It's obvious. No Bama fan is so clueless about their own history as to post the bullshite you've posted. The post about Shealy and Ogilvie proved that.

I said 8 without a win. You brought up 3 in a row. Bear lost 4 in a row for that matter.

Jeff Rutledge told himself about the outcry for Steadman Shealy after the 78 USC game after the close win against Washington a few weeks later. People said he wasn't quick enough to run the 'bone a running offense that seldom passed. And people thout PSU's DL would eat him alive.

Clem Gryska to me all about Bear's Bowl troubles. You may have been around in the '70's but you were no doubt in some That 70's show drug induced haze.

I'll go with my sources....

FYI-New years day 1963.....Alabama 17 Oklahoma 0 Pesident Kennedy was there. Coach Bryant was the best in that era and Saban is the best in this era. Given a choice between the 2, I would flip a coin I think. Both had weak points as everyone does. I do think Saban is more hard headed though. don't poop your drawers Paul B. All is gonna be ok.
