You let the 85th ranked passing offense , throw for 298 and have a 100 yard rusher. You realize that every decent offense you faced ( there weren't many with that schedule) they gutted you. Repeatedly.

I'm sick of Bama just being national champions. I want them to be IMPRESSIVE champions to our rivals. If we can't have LSU fans praising our defense, then it just isn't worth it - send the crystal back.

I think that game is in second place for me..for me the top 3 most painful LSU losses would be
1. Clemson
2. Bama in NC
3. Iowa 04
4. Auburn PASS INTERFERENCE
5. Ole Miss loss at home in 08..Actually the whole 2008 season

Sorry you feel that way, I enjoyed it...still do. I just don't see how the Clemson loss could be that devastating when they lost the big one...bad
Oh, I enjoyed it. Don't get me wrong. At this point, however, shite talk about it doesn't carry the weight that it did last season, and only serves as fodder for debates about Alabama not deserving to have been there in the first place.
Moral of the story: While I still have the game saved to my hard drive and still watch it from time to time, I think the percentages in talking shite about it are diminishing rapidly.

I agree...I wasn't really trying to talk shite..was just curious about why the Clemson loss was so bad to that guy.

Do you really think had your name been any other than Bama you would've been VOTED into those championship games? With lesser resumes.

Mett had the game of his life. He made our secondary look foolish. No one can take that away from you. And yes, the team with a Heisman QB also did a number on us. Outside of that, when were we gutted?
ETA: One game you reference, the LSU one, we had 17 points scored on us. I wouldn't call that getting gutted. And the other game, the team with a Heisman QB that was averaging 44 points a game put up 29 on us.

For me personally it was because a couple of my friends go to clemson and gave me hell about it for a long time and i was certain of a win, then we choked

Not even close. Which Is another reason your def wasn't good. You do realize that Bama beat ONE DECENT TEAM IN THE REGULAR SEASON.
And that team got their shite pushed in by Clemson.

Unfortunately, name still counts.
Say you have three unbeaten teams. If two of those teams have names like "Oklahoma" and "Southern Cal," and the third has a name like "Auburn..."
Well, you get my point.

I think you may be right. I need to contemplate this one...
...we carry the most powerful name in college football, and then when we get into the championship game, deserving or not, we beat the hell out of the opponent and take the trophy.
That SUCKS. I don't know if I can live with this.

Did you just make a case for Nick Saban being a better coach than we already thought he was? He won a national title with a shitty defense? Wow.
