Just cause its Saban he will get ripped for saying this by some, but I think its part of being a coach too...looking out for the best interest of your players....especially guys not projected in the first 2 rounds. Im guessing he can find some uses for Dareus and Julio though by staying lol but those guys are locks for the Top 15 in my book. Julio in a Browns uni is what Im looking fwd too

The un-named agent has a pretty valid point also.....the rookie salary cap will be in place for 2012...book it! So you will see alot of kids getting while the getting is good

LSU fans......did Saban encourage guys to leave while at LSU who were projected in the 1st round? Anyone you know that he talked them out of it and it ended up being a good move? Bad move?

Thoughts please

I don't think anyone can fault him for discussing the pending negotiations and possible lock-out with his players, though I'm sure many will.

He amended it to those that are Top 15 this go around, because of the potential NFL lockout.

Only an idiot would not tell their players, all coaches should explain what this could mean to their players.

If Im Julio, Dareus or Ingram Im gone...nothing else to prove in college im my opinion. Won a title...gave it a shot but failed to win another. Time to move on to the next level. I will admit that I hadn't thought about the potential to miss training camps and OTA's that Saban brought up, but I say go. Dareus especially....he has another year like he had this year he may be a 4th rounder in 2012

Actually...I think you will see alot more Jr's coming out than ever....they see the NFL cash flood gates closing.

Agents will take care of the slam dunk first round guys (like Ingram, Jones, Dareus, Peterson), if your a fringe first round pick or lower you probably ought to stay in school (Hightower, Barron, Ridley)

A lot of people don't by the lockout talks, but they are legit.

The owners will make money regardless it there is a work stoppage or not.

They hold all the power right now and they are greedy. The players will not be getting paid, but NFLPA is stubborn and will not give in.

Its a win-win for the owners. The NFLPA either gives in or there is a work stoppage and the owners still make money

I really don't wanna see an 18 game schedule. I think that is the only way that both sides can both make the money they feel is acceptable to them.

As per Roger Goodell, you are in the minority about the preseason games.
