Not really.....Jason Garrett used to work for Saban. Jones respects him as well and they talk.

It's a shock to LSU fans, but his opinion is respected in the NFL.
Notice when Saban speaks about a CFB issue it becomes a national story and the news cycle for a week. It's because he's pretty much transcended the sport and when he speaks everyone listens. LSU wouldn't know about having a coach that powerful.

So he got his former player a job? That's what that article is about.

He didn't become who he is until he came to Alabama.

Ha, and see him mesh with Jerry? Wouldn't work in a million years.

Care to try again?

The more effective argument is could he have sustained his success at LSU? Probably not. They do not have the same commitment to winning that Bama has. He would not have been given the same support staff that is a key part of his success. That is his greatest strength. He is an absolute organizational genius. Would love to be an intern under his tutelage.

So now you're acknowledging that Saban built your program? Of course he did.

He was on his way to building it. Absolutely. LSU dropped the ball in letting him get away to Miami.

Maybe to Washington?

https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2018/10/26/alabama-players-have-brought-toughness-nick-saban-isms-redskins/?noredirect=on&utm_term=.a4a7590d07a4

Headline: Alabama players have brought toughness — and Nick Saban-isms — to the Redskins

By the way, this article is legit recruiting porn for Bama. It is over the top.

“But in talking about the way Allen and Payne had arrived with preternatural maturity and understanding of complex schemes, Gruden suddenly realized he was talking about Alabama.”

LSU made him who he is.

The NFL doubled down on that.

Would make sense for him to pull a Pete Carroll and get out right before the hammer drops.

Like all criminals, the REC got greedy and didn’t know when to stop. Alabama was already on top of the college football world for the whole decade, but it’s never enough so they paid Tua and his whole family to move from Hawaii to Alabama. Everyone knows the Tua situation stinks, and it is going to bring unwanted attention.

His opinion about his players is respected. His NFL record and they way he left the Dauphins doesn't earn him much respect.

Regardless, he's not leaving Bama. He scratched his NFL itch and realized it's much tougher when you can't cherry pick your roster.

He's comfortable and wants to break the record for National Championships. He's the best college coach ever in terms of total program management and results.
