I didn't see his stuff in the trash but there is two sides to every story. First why would Bama let him workout or eat when he's not part of the team. Did anyone tell him he needed to remove his belongings at an earlier time. He obviously knows the rules if he requested a transfer letter before the staff even knew where he was going. There are holes to his story which some can be explained and others, maybe not but he should just man up and understand what he got his self into and move on.
There is just one side to the story so there is no way to tell

I do think they should be allowed to move without sitting out a year. Most of these kids will never play past college.
This would kill some of the smaller schools, I don't really see how that isn't clear.

He should've cleaned his own locker out when he decided to transfer.

I do think they should be allowed to move without sitting out a year. Most of these kids will never play past college. They shouldn't be punished for going after playing time at the best possible school for them. I would say coaches shouldn't be allowed to initiate the switch, but it should be fair game if the player contacts another school first.

Was Nick Saban's office cleared out and trashed when he talked to some NFL teams about openings? It's okay for coaches to explore their options but not for a kid?
Saban predicting UGA in the SECCG game? I like it.

Does anybody in their right mind expect the coaches to want a player that doesn't want to be there to have any involvement with the rest of the team?
I just provided the link to the bama poster that said "if he didn't want to player for the best D mind in football".....

Good point. The situations are identical

Not a trainer but it said there was a picture but I didn't see one in the article showing his belongings in the trash.

It's funny how the roaches come out of the woodwork when anything sheds a negative light on UA football.
This is about any athlete transferring from their school to another school to play their sport. It's not about particular schools, but the rules that govern the moves. It it's all over your head, then stfu.

No, not really. But I would vote for him over Trump and Hillary.

Why didn't he ask for a release before spring practice
This is what I was wondering. How common is it for a player to transfer after spring practice?
I haven't been following this story at all, but the image he portrays does make Alabama look bad, but there are two sides to the story. I do feel bad for him for being in this situation. Hope it all works out for him.

He should've cleaned his own locker out when he decided to transfer.

I think a lawsuit would put an end to all of this. Unless the kid signed a Four year scholarship, the courts would shoot any Coach down.
If that were the case, considering that stuff like this happens every year, why wouldn't this have been taken to court years ago?

Kids who graduate with eligibility remaining should be able to transfer to wherever the hell they want to transfer.

Yes. I would feel the same way. College athletics is supposed to be for the kids. Let them go where they want, no penalty.
If that happened then coaches and boosters would continue recruiting kids at other schools. It would be chaos.
