im just curious as to how the UF fans and alumni feel about Spurrier leaving UF then returning to coach another team in the same division?

is it to the level compared to how LSU fans feel in regards to Saban? maybe im not around TD enough, but I don't remember the same amount of fixation coming from the gators with Spurrier than i see with LSU and Saban. ive never seen a UF poster here throw out any Spurrier to PSU for example.

both schools have gone on to win NCs after both coaches left. i dont see how they can have any beef now. i think both programs have achieved greater heights since both of these coaches have left their schools.

Saban wasn't a Heisman-winning quarterback at LSU.

well in that case, wouldn't the UF fans have even more reason to be pissed that he left them for a divisional rival by way of NFL?

And South Carolina hasn't won a National Championship with Spurrier.

SOS to USC would be more like Saban to MSU

In LSU's case, there is potential to feel used by Saban. That he took you for granted and you were just a job to him.

I don't think it's possible that Florida feels that way about Spurrier. He obviously cares for his alma mater and gave a lot to UF as a player and coach.

South Carolina will never be a contender to win a national championship in football. It's a different scenario.

Alabama was ranked in the top 10 and then a year and a half later Saban was their coach.

It would be like Saban going to Mississippi State.
