The situation was different, although there are similarities. Spurrier had taken a year off after the Redskins. Zook got fired and he showed interest. Florida decided to do a full coach search. Spurrier told them to go f#%* themselves.

If he would have gone to Miami, Florida State, Georgia, or Tennessee, it might have been more similar.
