Because it was hilarious yet still good natured enough to limit the lashing out responses. The very first response in this thread was Aggy insecurity, and there have been pages full of Aggy posts calling LSU classless due to so much angst among you. Somehow, you still only focus on LSU posts.

Saban's comments are factual and correct. When you to to a TAMU game, locals go out of their way to make you feel welcome. It is part of the Angie culture, and this isn't just during weekend football games, this is anytime you are on campus. Students will stop what they are doing to help you with directions or anything you might need.
And I agree with Texas people are generally nicer. I lived in New Orleans, Birmingham and Gainesville, and people here (even in liberal Austin) are more friendly for sure. They are less sugary southern sweet, but more genuine.

Precisely.
We have manners in Texas. I've anecdotally found that "True southern states" pretend at a higher rate. Often times, it's painfully obvious. Sad really that one would have to try so hard to fake something they should have been raised with.

As a side note, LSU fans have still not gotten over the mutual respect between Bama-A&M. We're year 4 in the expanded SEC, and each year it surprises them and enrages them further.
