I actually went to TideSports expecting to find them somewhere. Instead I was just met with a wall of posts flaming Auburn, but nothing about Julio.
Typical, but just part of the gumps problem. They still always want to blame someone else for the most part. It is never their fault. Always someone else trying to get them in trouble to hold them down. Last time it was Tenn. This time AU I suppose. Really it is the reason why it is only a matter of time before Bama is back on probation. I really mean this, the attitude of Bama after the most recent probation where most gumps blamed UT, the NCAA, and everyone but their program and themselves (hell they even filed lawsuits against the NCAA) shows VERY clearly bama boosters and fans will have the program back in trouble in short order.

will someone do a quick sum up of these 5 pages for me?

The current status of Alabama football has nothing to do with how things were handled in the past. No one is placing the blame on someone else for the current situation either. Julio and Mark broke a stupid rule, and went on a fishing trip with two friends, whose father happened to be an Auburn booster. Regardless of who that man represented, its Julio and Mark that are possibly in the wrong. The NCAA rules are stupid in many cases.

Julio and Mark are friends with two Auburn girls, whose father happens to be an Auburn booster, and owner of Eagle Supply on the Gulf Coast. There are plenty of pictures out there to confirm that. This has nothing to do with Alabama, Auburn, or anyone else for that matter cheating, or setting Alabnama up. This has to do with the players' amateur status. Once they recieve extra benifits, no matter who its from, they are automatically in the wrong. The only way Alabama is endangered is if they play those players, but the AD is well aware of the situation, and the proper measures are being taken. So, rushing to conclusions, and proclaiming, that 'Bama boosters are "running Saban out of town" is just plain stupid, but go ahead and root for Georgia if you want.

Until players can be paid legally, this is a good rule.

what constitutes doing something wrong? If I'm an LSU grad and have friends who still play for LSU is it wrong to show up to a party and have brought food/drinks like you would any other party? They went fishing with a booster from another school. Who cares?

thanks roaad. being an Alabama fan can be fricking exhausting at times.

Lack of institutional control..? Sounds like it to me.

If there are plenty of pictures to confirm those two players went fishing with an Auburn booster, why dont you post some of those pictures? That would end all of the speculation in this thread real quick

I say stupid, because the NCAA basically considers any outside benifit, of any kind, illegal, because they assume the players are getting it because of their status as players. They went on a fishing trip with a booster from another school. How is that harmful?
