I've been fortunate to enjoy this rivalry for 53 years.
Been a winner most of em too.
I do remember a time when these two programs had respect for each other. You may thank the likes of the late Mr.Adams and Logan for the fueled hatred.

Those sins aren't done being paid for yet, but UT is paying now. UT didn't get the job done and the Crimson Godzilla has been rising out of the Tennessee River for the past several years and stomping on Knoxville. And the Viles created him.
I wish Adams had written a tell all before he went, I damn sure would have bought a copy.

Yes, by his own admission he was a bagman for several schools and spent a ton of money on athletes. Back in the day every school that won more then two or three games had quite a few of those folks around.
Including the Tide. It was a different time and throwing a hissy because the other side sometimes cheated better then you is a joke. If Alabama had been the only big school to not have bagmen then sure, by all means feel morally superior.
The guy looks like he had a good run, he enjoyed life, and he loved the SEC and his Vols.

Nothing sad about it. UT broke a ton of NCAA rules and even the law to get Logan Young. The appeal would have been interesting.
