I'd also like to point out that the theory I alluded to (poverty more or less being proportional with lunacy over sports) is represented best by third world soccer teams and their fans. holy shite. it would take years to compile a list of all the things they've done. last year in brazil, a soccer ref stabbed a player and killed him during a game after the players got in the ref's face. the fans then rioted on the field, tied up the ref (who was 20 years old btw), beat him, stoned him, lynched him, quartered him, then beheaded him and placed his head on a stake in the middle of the field.
