Roger Goodell has announced that the NFL will be dropping the Saints effective immediately

The LSU Tigers will replace the downtrodden New Orleans Saints in week one and assume the Saints' schedule
Goodell 'allegedly' said, "the state's not big enough to support two professional football franchises and with LSU/Baton Rouge having demonstrated a stronger desire to field a competitive product, the decision was simple"
The Bayou Bengals provide a larger fanbase, bigger stadium and a higher long-term upside due to enhanced revenue streams
The Tigers will need to waive approximately 60 players to get down to the 53-man active roster limit
Additionally, they will to have to restructure and negotiate down existing contracts to comply with the NFL's salary cap
It is anticipated that LSU head coach, Lane Kiffin will file a motion for a temporary restraining order (in Louisiana) on behalf of Tiger's players against the NFL to 'grandfather in' the Tiger's existing salary structure/cap for 2026 due to the timing and severity of the reductions
As of today, the Tiger's are estimated to be approximately $55-60 million over the cap ... and that's before rumored potential signings of Joe Burrow, Will Campbell, Justin Jefferson and Ja'Marr Chase

The Saints can pack up and move to Mexico as far as I care. They were dead to me the second the players started kneeling during the National Anthem.
