From a State alum and lifelong fan, my condolences to our LSU baseball brethren on the death of a legend. The State-LSU baseball rivalry is unique among rivalries. Great competition, intense baseball games but a genuine camaraderie between fans. Each program’s fans appreciate great baseball. And Coach Bertman embodied that in a special way. A great man has passed on to that diamond in the sky.
