I don't know about something big coming out tonight, but I expect something big to come out in the morning right after I go to the bathroom. That's how these things usually happen.

Frankly, I'm expecting them to declare Cam ineligible, but continue with the investigation. Cecil admitting that he solicited money from MSU is sufficient to make Cam ineligible (per the NCAA). Then the NCAA can take their sweet time determining what else went on and whether further punishment is warranted.

WTF are you talking about? The "big news" on Friday was that Cam was going to play and AU was EXTREMELY confident in his eligibility after the NCAA was on campus last week. And actually, it wass not just Thursday.

Anyone have any real confirmation that there will be something announced in a presser at 11 tonight or is this all just a big joke?

There were a lot of people who wanted to have Cam benched up to game time. The NCAA laid out the issues, and said playing Cam was at their own risk. They then said that if he was played and he was ruled ineligible, they would face stiffer penalties.

Auburn chose, given the information they had and THOUGHT the NCAA had, they would risk it.

This is VERY different than the NCAA reinforcing Auburn's hope that he would be eligible after all is said and done.

I will always be optomistic regarding AU because I am passionate about AU. It has been passed down through several generations of AU grads.

Of course, that compromises my objectivitity. I realize that. I have not been posting bullshite though. I was told an announcement would be forthcoming Wed on Sat. The sources are credible, but I am less certain now as things seem to change and evolve daily.
