me included. Just heard some reporter/author on Finebaum's show share a story about Coach Barns rescuing a stray dog that was near death. Apparently he is a dog lover as am I. Kudos to Coach Barns and if the Hogs don't win the NC, I hope the Vols do!

Not sure what it was but I know some folks didn't like him a Texas. But Tennessee-Barnes seems like a pretty good guy.

Probably because he didn't recite a daily litany of how great the University of Texas is at everything or genuflect every time someone said the word 'Longhorns'.

He's been a serial underperformer in the post season, but I think he's a good man and good role model.

He was a great coach and representative of Texas when he was here. Thought he was going to deliver a natty with TJ Ford until we ran into Carmelo and that 3 point wizard midget McNamara.

I’ve gotten frustrated with Barnes at time as a coach but he always gets us to the tournament and he’s a top notch human being. That’s ultimately the most important

His teams play dirty, but he's certainly a lot classier than some of the other coaches in the conference

Rick really is a great human, glad he's having success at Tennessee.
