Those are the cold hard facts man.
Its frustrating that even other rival fanbases see this and those of us without our head blindly up our arse have to sit here and browbeat our own fellow fans over this stuff.

Richmond must be a powerhouse this year. I hear every year how great Cats are .

Well....that's EXACTLY where we are. So maybe look at the fricking stats
Except, we're not.
But like I said, who would you realistically go get at this point that could produce better results at Kentucky? Everyone seems to have this solution that we need to get rid of Cal but never has an answer of who can do it better.
See, the problem with our fanbase is they're a bunch of spoiled arse brats that think we should win a championship every single year. It's always been that way. You'd bitch no matter who was at the helm. There's a reason people hate our fans.
This is also in the last 5 years:
Mike Krzyweski
139-40 overall
64-28 in ACC
2 ACC Tourney Champs
2 Elite Eights
1 Sweet 16
1 round of 32
There's also a reason we only have 8 National Championships in our whole history. Some of y'all hacks think it's easy. Ask Billy Gillispie how easy it is.

Says the guy that had to get his named changed on here because he got called on his shite so often.
Don't act like you have some moral superiority over other fans on here.

Jay Bilas hit the nail on the head commenting on the Arizona State - Villanova game. He said that ASU was on paper longer and perhaps a bit quicker (Hurley can recruit), but that Villanove was superior because they played "older" - meaning good team defense, good shot selection, and a feel for dominating the game. I am not sure Kentucky could take the Villanova approach as the school is stuck with one and done's (and they get great talent), but Villanova shows what great coaching along with pretty good talent can do.
Therein lies the rub.
Villanova fans are willing to tolerate the four first weekend outs that Jay Wright has had around the two NCs he's had the last few years.
Kentucky fans would have his head on a spike over that. You have people in this thread melting down over a loss to an NCAA Tournament team in the second game of the season.
The reality is you either have to be patient with a guy like Wright who would have actual down years (like a normal program). Or you have a situation like you do with Cal where a down year is a Sweet 16 and you're in the conversation pretty much every year.
Our fans want it both ways. They can't grasp it doesn't work that way.

What I can't understand is how we consistently have guys leave for the NBA draft that are second round picks at best but Kansas and UNC seem to hold on to those guys? Do they pay better than the D league? Ashton Hagans and EJ Montgomery and to some extent Nick Richards should have stayed another year.
Face it, Richmond wasn't loaded with NBA talent but were loaded with experience and are a solid ballclub. They are picked to win the A-10 which is a good conference. Right LSU?
Kentucky didn't fire Tubby as you know but others don't seem to know. He left on his own.
I admit frustration with Cal. His comment on playing talent over heart didn't go over well. His avoiding the post-game press conferences was chicken-shiite, Pitinoesque. Why hasn't he learned you have to recruit 3 point shooters in today's game? Why did Dontae Allen not play? But it is what it is. Every year but one we were in the hunt. Yes, we lost some games we shouldn't have but I only care about that in March.
This is only the second game of the season. If they are playing this way in March then its on Cal. But these are the same folks saying "the decline is real" about Alabama football. We've beaten them so badly over the years they have to gloat about something since their own teams are crap.
