Not going to take sides but, that Big 12 officiating crew sucked big time in that game.

It was rough to watch but it was the first game of the year. The overreacting happens every year.

The officials were terrible, but the game was so sloppy they could have called penalties every play and made it a 5 hour game.

I saw the same thing. The refs made a number of bad calls. That said, they were missed calls for both teams, and not necessarily biased toward either team.

One of the glaring missed calls to me was a fumble. Looked like the Florida player had the ball and was down and then (I think) somebody swatted it out of his hand and they ruled he didn't have possession long enough and Miami recovered. The Florida player had the ball in his hands and his knee was down.......

They should be this board’s favorite crew. They’re the ones that reffed the second Alabama/Clemson national title game.

Mullen should have challenged that. The RB was stupid for trying to pick it up and run with it with as many defenders as he had around him.

I only rewatched the parts of the first half I missed before I knew I had to turn it off. You're a braver man than me.

Wasn’t that second fumble recovered by a Florida lineman as well. I think there were two opportunities to challenge that turnover.

They were pretty bad. Saw a player get tackled hard three yards out of bounds in the 1st Qtr and no call. Then a player got barely tackled one yard out in the 4th Qtr and they threw a flag.

That really was a terribly officiated game for both sides.

Florida didn’t get what they paid for. Mullens has 11 more chances to give them their money worth. Miami probably did get what they paid for.

It was just a horrible call by the officials.

1. He had the ball in his hands
2. His knee was down.
3. Dead ball

Should have been Florida ball right there.

There were bad calls against both teams, and they seemed to even out a bit, but that one, imo, hurt Florida. I don't remember if Miami ended up scoring after that, but it just seemed obvious to me.

I don't even think they reviewed it. I thought he had possession while on the ground as well.
