Simmons won the Conerly trophy? That is truly sickening. Award named after a war veteran and incredible man given to a guy who threw multiple punches at a woman on the ground. You’re right, hartsfield and stringfellow shouldn’t have been playing football if they did what they were accused of. I won’t defend them. That said, there is video proof of a 300 LB guy punch a woman on the ground who had no way to defend herself against him. Scream hypocrisy all you want, you’re defending a guy who did that. Must feel good.

how can you beat someone when the play never happened. Ole Miss didn’t score. Abrams knee the clock was dead. He was making sure the pass was broken up in case we got screwed. Until Crackhead Corral interjected himself intonthe situation.

Wow, at the hypocrisy in this thread. Ole Miss was recruiting Simmons HARD all the way to the night before signing day. A lot of your dumbass media thought they had him in the boat.

But no, since he signed with State, he's a thug woman beater? And you say this with a straight face with some of the guys on your roster? Your starting safety was kicked out of school previously for sticking his finger up dude's asses.

Nobody defends what Simmons did, but your narratives are ridiculous. If you were in that position, you might have done the same thing. First of all, he wasn't 300 pounds at the time, so y'all can stop that lie. Secondly, she was as big as he was, so y'all can stop that lie, and thirdly, she was bullying and beating his little sister. It was such a heinous act that the charges were reduced to disturbing the peace....and the person he was fighting got the same charge.

His behavior was wrong, and he paid the price for it. But my question for Rebs is this:

- Why did y'all keep recruiting him?
- Why did y'all take Stringfellow, who was released from Washington after an assault charge?
- Why did y'all take Hartsfield? Penn State, of all places, dropped him and pulled his offer.

You have no moral high ground here. It's best that you shut your mouth, or at least cry about something else.

They are two different things. I never said it was OK for Simmons to beat up a woman for any reason. I'm just pointing out your hypocrisy for bashing MSU for having him on the team, when you have no problem with some of the characters that Ole Miss has had on their team. "Simmons the woman beater" is a common theme from some of you guys and it's retarded. You don't hear State fans beating that drum about Hartsfield non-stop, for example.

I also want to know what else Simmons has to do before you guys find something else to show outrage over. The guy is graduating with a 3.5 GPA, does a lot of positive community work, and is an All-American and likely first round pick, and did it all in spite of the flow of negativity coming from folks like you.

As far as Corral, my point is that he's no less of a thug than anyone else involved....if you're going to call Peters or Abrams a thug, than you gotta call Corral one too, since he started the whole thing.

Queue the "Peters threw the first punch" garbage. None of that happens if Corral doesn't grab Abrams.
