Hasnt Alabama fired two coaches in the last two years for giving money to players?
Posted on 5/31/16 at 10:58 am to hidolladawgs
So y'all being #1 for a few weeks in a previous year, yet losing 3 of 4 to OM and 4 of 4 to Bama who won the national championship and actually finished #1 is why he chose y'all over Bama and OM? Ok. It's not like y'all have been caught paying players or anything... Oh wait...

This is in no way a defense of Freeze I promise you. Have you seen some of his calls on the field? He consistently makes the most boneheaded play calls in the league.
Very questionable 4th down calls in the Memphis and Arkansas game.

If the answer is yes and you aren't too obtuse to understand everyone cheats, then we have nothing to argue about.
You know getting in state kids do not raise the same questions that getting top 100 players out of state do. Don't be obtuse.
If you say no, just a few years after getting caught doing it then we have nothing else to argue either because you can't change a brainwashed mind

All after the recruiting class in question. Nice try.
A class that ranked 3rd in the west, and a team that had an average recruiting class of 24 and 21.
Tom Allen was a LB coach.

Absolutely
But those were only obvious because they had a hand in costing us the games. Similar calls are very consistent throughout the year but we generally have had enough talent to overcome, and some of his Mickey Mouse bullshite will pay off from time to time.
Bottom line, the dude needs to shut the frick up for a while. I've heard from some folks that the 2013 signing day tweet as well as the Tunsil defending his mother tweet have caused us and our compliance department a ton of grief.

I wish somebody would say, ‘Look, they’ve (NCAA) been there four years and the staff is not buying players.’ ”
Nobody thinks the staff are buying players. Most assistant coaches don't make enough money to buy players, and even the head coaches aren't paying players out of their own pockets. That is why you have boosters, for heaven's sake.

There will come a day in the not too distant future wherein Houston Nutt is viewed fondly by the OM fans relative to their opinion of Hugh Freeze.

You do know the worst thing in the NOA, the thing we will get punished the most for was academic fraud, which was under Nutt. The rest of this shite is meals, lodging, and loaner cars. Freeze's success is what put us under such a microscope and makes rival fans post stupid shite like that. I mean, please, tell me how what you just said wasn't completely stupid when the worst thing in the NOA was under Nutt.
Edit: and someone has already up voted said stupid shite. I hope it was you

If I'm driving down the road and accidentally run over a guy walking down the side of the road, I'm still gonna be charged with homicide

Possibly the dumbest post I've ever read.

Try that line with your wife Hugh, see what she thinks about it.

No, if you did it drunk, maybe, but otherwise that's manslaughter. Great example though

There will never be a reason for this, ever.
Houston Nutt was a physical manifestation of a self imposed death penalty. I don't care what the NCAA does to us, it will not be worse than what he did to our program at the end of his tenure.

Wow. This guy is in serious denial, but yes Coach, Ole Miss did indeed cheat.
A 'mistake' is losing your car keys, so stop trying to minimize it by calling it a mistake.
'Cheating' is paying players, rigging ACT scores, and providing cars and housing. Ole Miss cheated, whether you were directly involved or not. Cheating is an intentional act, not a mistake.
And if your coaches and boosters didn't know the rules, you likely have the dumbest compliance department in the SEC.

He saying letting a kids girlfriend have a hotel room and paying for her meals when they thought it was his sister is a mistake. Letting an FCA guy drive players to games is only mistake when you find out later he has season tickets to OM baseball games. Not wondering why Laremy is driving in a different car and asking him about it is a mistake. Doing it all on purpose and knowing about it is cheating in Freeze's mind. All these mistakes added up to less than 17k of illegal benefits. Just seem buying 5*s would be more expensive.

Do u believe Cam Newton got 0 dollars from Auburn before and during his playing time there?

Driving your car off a cliff is a mistake. Doesn't change the fact that you're still dead.
