Well, since I know that my Rebels have never been a basketball powerhouse, I imagine the OP is directing this at MIZZOU fans. Those Noobs have a lot to learn. Two things you don't do in this conference whether you like it or not......1. You don't frick with Alabama football and 2. You don't frick with Kentucky basketball.
Mizzou fans... I was against letting your asses in the SEC from the get go. Last year, you contributed nothing. This year, you have had success in football and have proven you've never been there before. All of you can eat a bag of dicks.

Mike, if you want to discuss this seriously then we can. I'm not one of the Mizzou posters you probably had in mind, but when you try to take these kinda shots at my school, I won't back down.
Mizzou is the anomaly that has the second most NCAA tourney appearances and the most tourney wins without getting there. I fricking know that. And I would NOT trade my program for a dumpster fire like Mississippi State's just for one or two random trips like they had in 1996. You fricking kidding me? Look at their fricking program now and what it is most years compared to Mizzou's. Arkansas did some shite once upon a time back when Seattle grunge was still cool and Clinton was President. That's nice. They haven't done shite this decade.
I have an appreciation for basketball and follow my program with a deep passion because its done good shite every decade and era of my life. Not great shite, it can't get over that hump, but good enough shite to follow. So frick you very much if I want to follow my program and be proud of making the NCAA tourney in a given year when compared to the dumpster fire this basketball conference has been lately that actually is an accomplishment. frick you very much if I will take the opportunity to point out in a given year that even mighty UK can in fact fall to the NIT while steady ol' Mizzou made yet another Big Dance. I will enjoy it and continue to follow it and I will not back down from shite talking you about any matchup or season. Threads like this will only ramp it up not shut us up. You REALLY think your OP is novel to us? You realize we've been dealing with Kansas for the past 100 years right?
Here's what you should do: enjoy the fact there is another fanbase in the SEC now that actually cares enough about hoops to have some shitty whacko posters who will talk shite to you about it. And that has some other knowledgeable posters in its fanbase like yours truly who will have good discourse with you about it if you so choose.

See Big 10 and see Purdue….
Same results…same colors….2 coaches that been there for years (came close, but no cigar) and program made a run to Elite 8's and conference titles...had really not done shite since they retired.

No worries. I completely expect us to be average to slightly below average and go back to the not this year. Losing Bruckner and Holloway is going to be killer. Not even sure if I spelled either of there names right and I was actually in school their first couple of years there.

Arkansas has been to 6 Final Fours compared to 0 for Mizzou. I wouldn't even remotely consider trading our history for yours regardless if you are better than us this year. I doubt that there is a single basketball fan on this board that would either.

And I'd say blow me to that. During the Norm era you had what, Eddie Sutton? Got yourself on probation with that one and gave us Travis Ford for a year. Hell you only won ONE title for the bulk of Norm's career. 1978. ONE TITLE. For the mighty Big Blue? Weaksauce. Cuz you can't come with "oh we made Final Fours". That's not how you judge yourselves. And the Final Four doesn't give anybody a championship ring either. Basketball is the only sport where making the fricking semifinals is some sort of mythical accomplishment. Can you imagine if just *making* the NFC/AFC championship or *making* the NLCS/ALCS was some huge deal cuz you were amongst the "final four"? Who gives a rats arse? Bottom line the entire Joe B Hall/Eddie Sutton era only combined for one more natty title than Norm Stewart ever did, and Norm didn't inherit the legacy that your guys did from Rupp.
You can like me or not, but you're picking the fight with my school and I will come right at you and won't stop. We can do this all year long or we can cool the jets. Your choice.

Arky's problem is exactly its history. You guys are literally trying to reinvent 1994 and make it come alive again. You have a coach from that same team, running the same system, praying that the same magic will happen just like it was. That's literally what CMA wants and the reason he went back there and you are all blinded by it too. Its poison. The system is outdated and has zero success on the road. In that regard in terms of having an eye to the future no I would not trade programs with you. I know what our past is. Banners are nice but you know what? They just kinda hang there. All you can do is move forward and I'm glad we aren't sticking with the CMA system anymore. It's had its day.

UK almost got the death penalty. After one year…Pitino went .500, went to the Elite 8 following year…and then we made runs.
