USC and Tennesse both falsely claim 1939. It was all A&M.

3 loss teams don't share titles with unbeaten teams.

I have the program from that game.

(My dad was on the Tulane squad.)

Texas A&M is the sole champion of 1939. Former USC AD Mike Garrett decided to honor the remaining members of the 1939 team as National
Champions prior to the 2004 season.

USC finished #1 in Frank Dickinson's formula and were awarded the Rissman trophy back then. I have no idea why they never claimed it until 2004.

The Aggies only played Tulane because it was in NOLA. They didn’t want Tenn that season. Tulane has 5 SEC wins to Tenn 6.

I don't ever remember a post of any Aggie calling A&M a blueblood program. That would be sippy. He thinks it makes him relevant.

Aggies don't need their win / loss record to make them relevant.

Can you post a thread where an Aggie has called A&M a blueblood program?

Wipe the foam away from your mouth before you post next time...meaning rabid not what most of you homophobic posters will infer.

1939 Tennessee football team was the last college team to complete a regular season unscored on.

I see a lot of retroactive championship awarding going on here.

Wonder what other sec school does this?

Bama heard a knock on the door. Wondered if it was someone like them.

They said “let em in”.
