I watched 3 games at the end of the year. You may as well have been using smoke signals for your defensive playcalls. My grandmother could have called plays to get guys open.
The worst part is that your problems were obvious. And they were not corrected. Is it lazy coaching? Hubris? Do the local radio stations bitch about such basic coaching errors? Or does BK get a pass because you feel lucky to have an former fighting Irish head coach?

You are playing man coverage on the bottom. Zone coverage on the top.
You've got a light box. So we will probably run split zone or inside zone and get 5+ yards because of the numbers in the box.

Lost every game 2012-2017. That's the real reason they fired Sumlin.
And even though Sumlin was better than Jimbo, Jimbo managed to trip into a couple wins over LSU.

The 2 defenders on top have eyes on the QB.
This looks like man on the bottom.
Typically, most teams have pattern match zone over trips (one defender takes deep route, one defender takes outbreaking, and one defender takes inbreaking. Coverage is tight like man, but they won't trail a receiver out of zone). Occasionally, you can have man on the point of the trips bunch. With this being empty, it wouldn't shock me if it is man on the point and a high/low pattern match behind it).
UGA usually runs motion on every snap, so I don't know how the alignment would be at the snap. But Bowers has man coverage on the bottom with the entire hash to work. He could even work middle field if Stetson (or the running back motioning across to the top) can manipulate the high safety towards the bunch.
My comment about predictability isn't just eyes and butts of your defenders. A QB can read every team that way. The point was how you send pressure with Perkins. It telegraphs the pressure and the backside coverage making it very easy for the offensive line to adjust and for the QB to make the best first read. I can't see numbers on these photos. But none of them look like deep blitzes or anything attempting to catch the OL off guard.

Whomever the bottom receiver is, that would be the ideal target as he has man coverage and more than 1/3 of the field to work.
Coley didn't motion as much as monken, so that may be how the snap happened.
Again... the point about predictability isn't reading eyes and butts of the defenders. It is about where Perkins lines up and how the DB looks behind him. It telegraphs the pass rush. I can't make out any numbers on these photos. None of this relates to my point (as every QB can read every DBs eyes and butts).
