I mean, I hate AU but I'm not seeing any flip flopping from AU fans in this instance.
They seem to hate this hire and are making fun of themselves for having done it.
Pretty consistent - they thought it was a shitty hire last year and they think it's a shitty hire this year.

In the end, Auburn has hired a DC we don't really want, and you'll promote an assistant nobody else (including LSU or Auburn) would willingly hire as a DC.

Was Steele about to be let go or something? Why would he jump to Gus's sinking ship? LSU is a better program, and as crazy as this year was, Les still probably has more job security.

I'm not ready to call it a shitty hire or a good hire. We probably won't be able to pass any sound judgement on it until about this time next year. As things stand now, we just have to wait and see.

Les never fires assistants. He tells them towards the end of the season to take another job if offered, hell he has helped some former assistants get other jobs. LSU didn't match his offer because this was planned.

Yeah. And I don't know of any AU fans touting this as a great hire either. Both schools deserve some ridicule.
