How do you deal with being mediocre? We know about your poetry and delusion. Any other tricks?

I remember Trev Alberts on ESPN said “Georgia was the better team,” the week leading up to the 2003 SEC Championship game and LSU beat UGA in Tiger Stadium during the regular season. LSU kicked their arse.

BK beat your team’s arse with 39 scholarship players and you needed Saban to call in an enforcer to do what Bama does, just to slow down an LSU team with Joe Biden running the defense.

DeBoer has 4 years head coaching experience and is a west coast pussy who brought along some west coast pussy friends.

Sit down.

I remember that. There was also some sports commentator or writer or something who picked Vandy for the upset.

Without further information, my guess would be Barrett Sallee, master of the hopeless prediction.

Ohh, that would actually be a good off-season thread now that we can do the twitter and YT embeds — worst ever sports-personality comments and predictions.

Saban retired move on frick him

You're almost as salty as an Auburn fan. At least Auburn does occasionally catch lightning in a bottle and beat Alabama. Tennessee has beaten Bama ONCE since George W. Bush left office. So GFY and DIAF you puke orange worshipping cocksucker.

It could’ve been much, much worse.

Tua was the backup that year.

Had they let him just come in and run the passing offense from the following year it would’ve been well into the 70s.

Although I’ve always felt like getting 60 hung on you by a team running the ball feels worse because you know what’s coming and can’t do anything to stop it plus the physical domination aspect of running vs passing.

That was just an example of Saban letting the team put up the numbers he could’ve most weeks if it had been Spurrier calling the plays.

Thanks for posting this. Been wondering if Nick Saban remembered that kid from Vandy saying "Alabama, you're next?" for damn near a decade. Sheeew. Glad the book is finally closed on this one!

You need some lighthearted anecdotes to round out the book. "How I beat LSU's arse whenever I pleased" can't be every chapter.

So Saban takes a roster full of 5 star players and beats a roster full of 1 and 2 star players. Great job coach Saban. You sir are a genius.
