My fellow Dawg Fans will take umbrage with this and will no doubt call me all manner of shite other than a child of God but until Georgia actually beats Alabama in one of these damned things I am going to go into them with the HOPE that this is the year and with the knowledge that it probably ain't. Alabama is Kirby's kryptonite. Alabama has been, at best, marginally more talented than UGA in most of these games and in some they may not have been as talented. They are no deeper than UGA, if more talented only by a miniscule amount in most of the games and with every other team not named Alabama they have been no better coached than UGA....but for many reasons UGA just shits the bed when it is Alabama. Again, on paper in most of these games they have been almost mirror images of one another...yet UGA just can't get it done. Against any other team in the nation? No problem...whip that arse, take that name. Alabama has LOST to many of the teams that UGA has whipped....yet Bama beats UGA. It is, as they say, what it is.

As for my fellow Dawg fans who call me all manner of shite....y'all know damn well we all feel the same way about Texas now....and for most of the history of the UGA / UF series we have had the same sort of voodoo over the Gators. Clem's Son is another example. We just don't lose to them....and Bama just don't lose to UGA. It is not uncommon in college football, it only seems that way when it is your team.

Georgia should win this game. Alabama has not improved as much since September as Georgia has....our defense has looked world's better since the Cocktail Party....against 3 teams that aren't bottom feeders offensively (not world beaters either but have looked good at times offensively). The offense is also better. Meanwhile Alabama still seems to sputter away from Tuscaloosa and at times does not look like a well coached and talented team. That said it will be more surprising, to me, for UGA to win the SEC than it will be for us to lose the game....because Alabama is simply UGA Kryptonite until proven differently on the field. Have a field day with it my fellow Dawg fans....give it your best shot, lord knows I hope I am wrong, but I know for certain that I ain't the only Dawg fan who is in the same place.....
