Good point. Maybe that's the real reason he got mad. Maybe he knew he would have to greyshirt at Bama. So he got all pissed off when he found out about it. But now that he's thought about it for a while, he's ok with it.

I didn't follow it as much but supposedly he wanted Region to go ahead and commit early and as a result Region threw a temper tantrum?
From what I remember, Regions wanted to committ to Bama and still take visits but Saban wasn't goin for it. He told him to wait and committ later. So Regions got his panties in a wad and committed to Auburn.

If Saban wasn't pushing him to commit then I don't see what he'd be upset about. But whatever, what's done is done, as long as he's willing to come in here and greyshirt all is forgiven.

I hear they're already preparing his dorm room at Bryce Hospital.

Does this mean he has a committable offer to UAT again?

Dont want him. He deserves to go to AU and win nothing.

If there was ever one thing Alabama and Auburn fans can agree on.....
Spencer Region, GO AWAY!
Spencer Region, GO AWAY!

If this guy grew up a Bama fan, it's gonna be hard to get that out of him, but there's no telling what Saban has told him though.

so when do AU fans start sending death threats to region's family?

ranger you have no idea about what you are posting. Saban didn't want him to commit early. He wanted him to be sure and to end his recruitment when he did commit. Be it early or late. Of course there were limited slots, but thats true with any team. It's quite obvious with the way thing played out to this point, Saban was correct and Regions was not truly ready to commit.

Some others on here have already said this but I'll say it again. I think what happened was that Regions got told by Saban that if he committed to Alabama University that he would need cut off his recruitment and the coaches at the University of Auburn said, hey man take your visits. He got his feelings hurt and made a mistake with his commitment. He's calmed down now. His emotions aren't controlling his decision making any more and he's talked it through with people more emotionally mature than he was being and he's changed his mind.
One last thing. The Bama fans that are bashing him need to grow up a bit IMO. He's a kid who said some things that hurt a bunch of grown men's feelings. Did he say a lot of regrettable things? Yes, absolutely. Pretty much everyone at some point in their life has done this same exact thing. It just wasn't as public as Regions' comments. You need to let it go. He'll be a good lineman for whoever he ends up playing for.
