Im pretty sure they could add temporary seating if needed.. However, the Hoover Met hasnt had many capacity games in the SECT... Plus I think it is more feasible to have it downtown easier access..

So you stupid for thinking it wont be moved..
Close to many hotel rooms (within walking distance)
Close to airport/bus/train station
Close to bars/restaurants
Close to hospitals
Railroad Park
SEC Headquarters within walking distance..

I work downtown Bham and live in Vestavia. You are misrepresenting the railroad park area. It's going to be a nice park and I look forward to attending some thirsty Thursday games, but a lot of the things you mention are not really walking distance. Unless you want to walk a couple of miles through a run-down, high crime area. SEC headquarters....walking distance. LOL.

You must be a lazy/fat person.. If you cant walk from the baseball park to the bjcc you are pathetic... I walked from Jefferson Tower (UAB) to the Harbert Plaza food court many times and you do have the dart buses that run downtown.. Plus hotels are within walking distance.

Wow, it's amazing how often you are wrong on this board. I'm quite fit and didn't say I couldn't walk. My point is that most REASONABLE people don't want to walk through those areas. Yet you are promoting walking through high crime areas in downtown Birmingham as a positive. I'm not one of these anti-Bham people that think everything is negative, but you are on the other extreme. I bet you thought LaLa Langford was a good mayor.

Why go through that trouble when there are already stadiums that have 10,000 + capacity? If you are going to have to add temporary seating, might as well leave it at the The Met.

The met is a dump. The only time there's more than 3,000 people there for a game is when LSU is playing MSU/Bama Bama is playing MSU/LSU/Auburn

No. The Met does not have 13,000+ seats. It has about 8,000 seats and room for another 3,000 on the berms.
