I just dont understand how to claim to laugh at a football team that has beaten your team about half the time over the last 50 years, and just eliminated you from the baseball championship. Actually, I do understand. You need some excuse and this is the best you can come up with

It's the entire institution and your goofy fanbase that we laugh at. Like this meaningless stat you claim while ignoring the fact that it cost you multiple sanctions, multiple postseason bans, and a TV ban that played a significant role in bringing about the collapse of the Southwest Conference due to lost revenue. All for a handful of vacated wins that give you this tiny straw to grasp at and pretend you're our peer.
This is but one example of a litany of clownish behavior that provides fodder to many "let's laugh at aggy" threads.

I will never understand the Egg Bowl hype. It doesn’t draw national attention at all, so why is it consistently ranked high in these rankings?

If we have to explain it to you, you wouldn't understand...

Like Clockwork. A longhorn must immediately correct the falsehood that they would ever think of A&M as a rival. Way to prove a point

Look: it's a big rivalry, but the rivalry with OU is more important. That game usually means something. When we play A&M, it's usually one team's super bowl, and not much is on the line. From 2000-2009, either Texas or Oklahoma played in the national title game 6/10 years. A&M has never and will never play for a national title game in your entire life.
Case in point - this is your campus bookstore

3 Great rivalry games I always try to watch. Love it now they are all 3 in the SEC.

How are you this oblivious?

Egg bowl is the best because it is so spiteful between those two groups.

Close but not quite as much.

Yes, that is the reason

The Egg Bowl is the typical family feud that makes up just about any in state rivalry. The intensity of the Egg bowl is perhaps turned up more than most because neither team is playing for anything else. Not the national championship, not the SEC championship. Just pride so you can be better than your neighbor for a year.
Furthermore, the Egg Bowl seems to be pretty competitive in one team doesn't win all the time.
Finally, I would think the Egg Bowl is a bit unique in that both schools are located in small towns.. thus all the other towns in the state are split in terms of who they root for.
Egg bowl is set up to be a pretty good rivalry.
However as an event, a happening, an extravaganza...(combined with the rivalry elements) the Red River game is hard to beat.

Depends on where you live and who you cheer for.
Red River Shootout is a big deal in my area. The other two, not so much.
Nothing wrong with that. I don’t expect people in Pacific Northwest to care for TX-OU just like I don’t care for any of the teams up there.
As a member of the SEC, I’ll now be watching the other two. Prior to joining, I only watched if both teams were highly ranked.

Texas and Oklahoma fans aren't ready for the Egg Bowl.
They seriously have no idea.

Two things.
1st... Auburn fans in general don't hate UGA more. Auburn fans who came from GA high schools do, because most of them ended up at Auburn as a second choice after failing to get into UGA. But Auburn fans from Alabama absolutely hate Bama more.
2nd... Since Saban came to Alabama in 2007, Bama is 12-5 vs Auburn. UGA is 15-3. And it's not just in early games against Auburn. UGA is 10-1 against Auburn in the last 10 years while Bama is 8-2 (UGA played Auburn twice in 2017). So the UGA/Auburn series is more one sided than Auburn/Bama has been.

Red river too friendly. Not even top 50.
Hell, even Missouri v Kentucky has fists come out every year and players ejected.

Let's all be honest here, LSU Bama has been the game of the last 15 years in the SEC

no

it's because we are surrounded by you frickers 24/7.
And the most vocal, obnoxious Georgia fans couldn't even get into UGA
