Right now, Auburn is just another game for Alabama....... No big deal.

Anyone that believes that never lived a day of their life in central Alabama, or is delusional (which is a fair percentage of both fan bases, so it's a strong possibility).

I really wish (at times) Bama would stop playing Auburn for a while.

About Bama's slogan that year . . . I always thought the "Never Again" was not only based on letting AU come back in that year's Iron Bowl, but losing games all year it had no business losing. That team was strong and experienced - it should have run the table again. I think it was a mindset thing, like Saban said after the Natty this past year, that this team didn't feel privileged like the last one trying to repeat. So, it wasn't so much about beating Auburn, as it was everyone (including themselves). Make sense?

Also, I wonder if this has been up awhile or is it recent? If it has been up a few years, it hasn't worked very well.

The flyer had two players on it, Cam and Nick, with no reference to other games, so no it doesn't make sense. You're just reaching.

I don't wish the two schools would stop playing like I did at one time, but I wish the morons that make the rivalry shitty had some NFL team to pull for instead of trashing up our upper decks in jean shorts, addidas, and jerseys.

Double edged sword. What makes the rivalry so great is the fact that it engenders so much passion and 365-day-a-year discussion. Unfortunately it also engenders wife-beating and Harvey Updyke.

The rivalry would be just as great without the trash that has nothing else in life except to tie their self worth into the success or failure of a college football team.
