Ashamedly, I didn't get to finish watching the game Saturday night as I had to be in bed early for an ultramarathon Sunday. Likewise, I was at a race all day Sunday and didn't see any highlights. I didn't even see the final score until last night.
When I checked the score just before falling asleep, UF had just scored to start the 2nd half. I think it was 34-17.
Finally to my question: was this a deal where UF stomped us and we got some points in trash time to make it close, or was it a down to the wire finish?

No guarantees, but we controlled it by the start of the second half.

It was 41-24 and UF started trying to run clock and playing prevent defense.

Some trash time points but the voodoo at auburn almost won you the game.

I thought UF pretty much controlled the game, that's just my opinion others may have seen it differently.

Not sure if you're serious, but Auburn scored in the final seconds on what was akin to a hail mary.
Florida had 500 total yards, was 3/3 on 4th down, and held the ball for 40 minutes.
After Auburn came back to tie it at 17 (in the 2Q) they never "quit," but they were so bad defensively, it really never felt close.

I rewatched the game yesterday. There were so many uncalled blatant penalties on both teams it was mind boggling. The officials should've just stood on the sidelines and let them play.

I haven't watched all of Sumrall's postgame presser but I saw some fans on social media saying that Sumrall said Florida went to a prevent defense for the last 3 Auburn possessions which sounds about right. We scored 2 TD's in garbage time and it made the game seem alot closer on the scoreboard but I felt like Florida controlled that game for pretty much the entire 60 minutes. If y'all didn't have the 16 penalties for 138 yards, I truly believe y'all would've hung a 60 piece on our pathetic defense. Congrats on the win and that Florida vs Ole Miss game this weekend will be fun to watch.
Damn, did y'all just feel that gust of wind? I think it was our defense completely whiffing on another tackle.

Florida won 17-0 in the middle 8.
Went up 41-24 midway through the 4th. Tried to run out the clock and went very conservative on defense.
Game ended up 44-39 but the game really never felt in question for Florida.
