Listening to satellite radio and these national guys keep suggesting that Ole Miss was great under Freezus.
What did I miss?
What did I miss?

If never winning more than 10 games is great, then Ole Miss is all over that shite.

I know we aren't hot shite either, but how bad does your program have to be that winning 9 or 10 games means everyone thinks you were cheating?

They had two good seasons and a lot of talent. Great? No. 2015 had the potential to do big things, but they didn't show up against Florida and Memphis, then choked on 4th and 25. 2014 climbed to #3 before collapsing in November.

2012: 7-6
2013: 8-5
2014: 9-4
2015: 10-3
2016: 5-7
This passes for greatness at Ole Miss. And they cheated to do it.

Damn...that's fricking depressing.

Not a single division title in that stretch. Greatness
God, what a fricking joke of a program.

It's all relative.
Freeze came in and they went from one of the worst teams in recent memory in 2011 to a 7-6 squad that showed some promise in 2012. In 2013, their recruiting was looking rock solid and they had just brought in some young talent.
By 2014, they spent a good portion of the year inside of the top 5 and notched an upset win over Alabama. A close loss to LSU and a freak injury to Treadwell cost them a potential playoff run.
Under Freeze, they were at least relevant, which is a lot for that program considering that before Freeze, 2008 was the last time they were really all that good and 2003 was the last time they were even somewhat nationally relevant near the end of the season.

When they started pulling guys like Nkemdiche, Tunsil, and Treadwell to a team that had just gone 6-19 over the previous two years, shite just seemed shady.

And they started doing that almost from the word "go" under Freeze. While they were good in 2014 and 2015, most SEC fans felt like their record was tainted in some way due to how they were pulling these elite, out of state athletes who hadn't even heard of Ole Miss before.

Some of Ole Miss worst teams in their history were led by my teams HC. Let's think about this for a second my fellow LSU fans.

A much younger and less wise version with a fraction of the resources available to him now. Jury's still out, but last year was a solid start tbf.

All true and I'm really hoping I have to eat so much crow I throw up. The thing that concerns me though is the free market is usually a good indicator and there was zero demand for him as a HC, hell he was never even a coordinator. I believe USC passed him over for a reason just like Syracuse did. Our AD obviously made a panic hire after getting slapped around in negotiations.

How many teams beat Alabama twice in a row? Have a good record and beat Alabama twice during the greatest college football run in history might meet some people's definition of "great." In any case, it is a better record than most of the teams whose fans are being so dismissive.

How bad does your program have to be that winning 9 or 10 games means you really are cheating in an egregious manner.
