Shut up swamp trash. Auburn is RBU

Nobody cares about NFL production when talking about RBU. If you produce in college that is all that matters. If you get more out of a running back than an NFL team did, more power to you. If Chubb goes on to get injured and never produce in the NFL, does that diminish what he did at UGA in any way?
We certainly got much more out of Herschel in three years than Auburn ever got out of Bo in four because Bo got injured. But somehow, that argument never seems to matter to AU fans. IMO, very important to stay not injured and play and not talk about "what ifs". If not, heck, we might as well call Marcus Dupree the greatest ever.

quote:Nothing. He was responding to your comment that Auburn should have won a National Championship in 1983....which is dumb. Because if they had played in the big game we have no way of knowing if they would have won except for your feeling.
That is irrelevant. What does 1946 have to do with Bo/Herschel?
We seem to have uncovered an alter.

Georgia can have the RBU title all they want,

Just like AU beat UGA handeley & then UGA turned around & whipped them? Not as unlikely as you think.

BRO, you still looking for significance aren't you. Try winning the big one. But Georgia gonna Georgia.

An honest answer is that things run on WHYDFML. Both Bama and UGA have been killing it with great running backs lately. Nobody still considers ND RBU despite their dominance of the back position in the 1920s and 30s. Just how it goes. If LSU goes a decade or two without churning out great DBs, they'll likely start to lose steam with their whole DBU thing too.

I'd have to agree with the guy who said Auburn was RBU. At least based on the pro production.
But that list you posted bugs me.
Aside from Walker the RB from Georgia who scared me as an opposing fan like no other, was Robert Edwards. And I don't think I see him on that list.
"Edwards was a featured running back collegiately at the University of Georgia. He was originally recruited to play cornerback, where he was a starter through his sophomore year. After that season, he was converted to running back. As a running back he set a Bulldog record for scoring five touchdowns in one game against the University of South Carolina.
Throughout his college career, Edwards was injury-prone. He never finished a full season in college due to knee problems, and missed an entire year due to a broken hand which allowed him to earn an injury redshirt for that season. Though he was successful when healthy it is possible that his draft stock dropped due to his constant injury status.[how?]

NM. He had a lot of injury problems in college. Still I tell you this, he was a lot scarier to see playing against you than Todd Gurley even. He wasn't Herschel, but he annihilated us. Only guy I have seen since him that gave me the same uneasiness was McFadden.
