2011 team had way more talent

Are you sure? Because I think everyone on the offensive side of the ball plays in the NFL and I think most on the defense play as well.

I would also argue that Auburn played a harder schedule in 2010 as well.

And you’d be wrong according to the AP poll

Nebraska 1995 is still my #1 GOAT team. They blew out every team on their schedule including a 36 point win in the national title game.

You're just being nostalgic. The '95 Cornhuskers would get absolutely smoked by quite a few teams on that list of top 10. No disrespect but football schemes were much simpler and there' wasn't much parity across the landscape of football. Nebraska was great at a time when they simply lined up and ran the ball down everyone's throats.

2001 Miami is probably the greatest team so far. Just look at their roster and who went to the NFL and where they were drafted. No team has had anything close to that before then or after.

Ed Reed, Antrel Rolle, Jonathan Vilma, Jeremy Shockey, Ken Dorsey, Frank Gore, Willis McGahee, and Clinton Portis off the top of my head.

I think Santana Moss and Reggie Wayne had just left the year before.

STACKED!!!

If LSU wins the national title they can make a case for the greatest team of all time.

I mean I may disagree with the order, but the correct 10 teams are probably listed.

Except that 2013 SEC Champion and NC Runner-up Auburn (12-2) should be on the list over 2012 non-SECC and Capital One Bowl Champion UGA (12-2).

Vandy scored 38 points on you guys. The best team of the decade would never let that happen.

But they’d score 6 at home and lose? Lol you fricking idiot

Move 4 and 5 up to 1 and 2 and leave the rest as is.

Loses can't go in front of teams who beat the teams they played.

This is an ignorant statement. When you have the greatest offense in the history of CFB, the defense just has to play as well as needed to comfortably win games. A team that goes 15-0 against a schedule that includes six top 10 teams, scoring almost 50 points a game, multiple award winners on both sides of the ball, and coach of the year doesn't somehow get better by allowing opponents a few less points. It adds little to nothing to the resume.

I disagree...how you win, how you dominate opponents, and how you play on both sides of the ball, should matter when looking at the best ever teams.

Take ‘95 Nebraska for example; they finished #2 in total offense and #1 in scoring offense. Their defense was #13 in total defense and #4 in scoring defense, pitching two shutouts. They not only beat 4 teams that finished in the top 10, they dominated them by an average score of 49-18; also, they were only behind one time all season and they beat every team they played by at least two touchdowns (with the exception of one team, they beat everyone on their schedule by 23+ points). They destroyed an undefeated SEC champion Florida team by 5+ TDs in the Fiesta Bowl; the Gators had dominated the SEC, winning all their games by double digits (they would go on to win the national championship the next season with many of the same players). The ‘95 Huskers were a complete team by all measures. That’s a tough resume for anyone to beat...
