So you're saying they have to pay smart people to go there?

Uh. All schools do this. They're called scholarships. Sorry you're dumb.

I know these rankings are fun for pissing matches, but they simply don't matter that much to the individual. You're going to make of your career what you want. And it may or may not have anything to do with what you studied.

There are plenty of very wealthy lawyers who went to "B" and "C" law schools. Plenty of very wealthy doctors who got their D.O. And the richest engineers are out running their own companies. Life is what you make it. Not what your university is ranked.

Hopefully, the resumption of A&M's journalism degree will positively impact this.

Precisely. And I don't care what Auburn in sum is ranked academically. I care about how the program that I'm in is ranked #8 in the nation. I'm not getting a general education degree, I'm getting an architecture degree.

Alabama and Auburn continue to rise to their rightful place. Got Damn criminal that they BOTH have not been ranked higher. Bunch of Yankee shits hating the South....again. For the past 100 years.

Any Ranking that has Acceptance Rates as a major criteria is worthless. If every Redneck with a GED tries to apply in order to get a chance to be part of the Football Program, your acceptance rate will be low. They need to publish the average ACT/SAT of those students no accepted.

Meh.

If you take out the Ivy League schools, the really smart people schools, and the schools good at education, we're right near the top.

If Harvard is #1, this ranking is invalid. It's all based on endowment, it's as simple as that. It's bullshite
