1) Jeff Lebby- I think this will be a very interesting hire and is an upgrade. He should make Mississippi State Football fun to watch.
2) Kalen DeBoer- While he's absolutely a downgrade compared to Nick Saban who the hell wouldn't be. Overall solid hire and I think any rational Bama fan will be happy with him.
3) Mike Elko- A definite downgrade, a bad joke of a hire, not sure what the hell Aggy was thinking. Reminds me of Nebraska getting rid of Bo Pelini for winning "only" 9 or 10 games a year.

I wouldn't argue with you if you did, just ranking according to who the program could hire and I don't think Mississippi State could've got anyone that would be objectively better

The guy who just went to a national championship and has been super successful as a head coach everywhere he’s been isn’t as good of a hire as a guy with no head coaching experience?

Until he loses a coin toss.

These are three different situations. DB is replacing a legend with an impatient fanbase. Libby is rebuilding a program and culture from the ground up.
I would argue Elko has the least amount of risk. He coached in the SEC and will field an elite defense. It really comes down to the offense.
And it’s not a rebuild. The cupboard is stocked.

If Lebby goes 9-3 at State next year, they will be sourcing bronze for a statue. If DeBoer goes 9-3, someone will park a U-Haul in his front yard.

All I know is I’d melt if my school hired any of the three
